Service Description

90 min class, Tuesdays 1:30 - 3:00 pm 4 weeks, for a total of 6 hours of total class time! Age 10-16 Dates: SUMMER July 1, 8, 15, 22 (4 weeks) Ends with an Art Show In this art education class, we will discuss art history & contemporary artists, plus build confidence, community & job skills.  Traditional fine art skills are taught through demos, practice, conversation, and class critiques. Artists are taught to "see" with artists' eyes and will be fully immersed in developing their true personal style as we learn, experiment, and review different media and artistic techniques. We will use varied media: pencils, colored pencils, pen & ink, pastel, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, mixed media, collage etc. This 4-weeks course is taught by a state-certified K -12th gr art educator and practicing BFA artist Mary Shadbolt. The final class includes an art show during the last 20 min, make note now! Art Materials: INCLUDED! The skill set students acquire at this age range, allows them finer motor skills, higher critical thinking, focus, and social & emotional readiness to be in a class with an age span of age 10-16 Drop off 1:25-1:30 Class. 1:30- 3:00 Pick up 3:00 Class size capped to keep artists in a safe & clean studio, and for excellent student/teacher ratio. Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise noted, classes are recommended for beginner to intermediate levels. Artists should be enrolled within their school age groups. **Class is for age 7 and up** NO exceptions. Summer camp is for age 6 & up. Age varies for workshops- note descriptions. No water bottles or food permitted in the studio at this time. No make-up Classes at this time. Artists missing a class/workshop do so at their own loss. No refunds or prorates for missed classes. Our Policies for Class, Camp and Workshops can also be found on our website https://www.artclasswithmary.com/policies -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week art class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note, or extreme family emergency). However credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee. -$35 fee to change summer camp weeks IF there is availability Art Camp Withdrawl/Refund Policy: * If notice is given 90 days or more before the start date: full refund is given less a $35 processing fee.
 * If notice is given 60 days,  before the start date: a refund is given less a $60 processing fee.
 * With less than 30 days' notice given, no refunds will be given. 
 * Students who fail to show up, will not be refunded.
 Class cancellations due to inclement weather or unexpected circumstances will be notified via email, and posted on social media.
